Safety Policy
Tap In is a reflection and visibility system. This page describes how we think about safety and how Tap In fits alongside the real people and services that support participants.
What Tap In Is
Tap In helps participants recognize patterns in their own week and helps leaders see meaningful patterns across their group over time. It is a reflection system, a visibility system, and an AI-assisted tool built to improve understanding.
Recognition before action. Better understanding at scale.
What Tap In Is Not
Tap In is not, and does not present itself as:
- Therapy or counseling
- Mental health treatment or diagnosis
- Crisis intervention or emergency services
- Real-time monitoring
- A replacement for human judgment
AI strengthens leaders, but never replaces them. Human responsibility always comes first.
In A Crisis
Tap In is not monitored in real time. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, contact a trusted adult, your organization, or your local emergency services.
United States: call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. In an immediate emergency, call 911.
Outside the United States, please use the emergency number appropriate to your country.
Guidance For Leaders
The weekly summary is designed to help you notice patterns and ask better questions. It is not a diagnosis, a clinical assessment, or a substitute for direct conversation with the people you lead.
If a participant's response suggests they may be at risk, use your judgment and your organization's existing support pathway. Tap In supports your work, it does not replace it.
Guidance For Participants
Tap In gives you a place to reflect on your week. Your responses are seen by your leader as part of the weekly summary, and are not monitored in real time. If you need to talk to someone right away, please reach out to a trusted adult, your organization, or emergency services rather than relying on Tap In.
Reporting A Safety Concern
If you notice something in Tap In that raises a safety concern about the product, email tapinmirror@gmail.com. For a concern about a specific person, contact your organization's existing support path or your local emergency services.
